    Position Overview

    The press/laser machine operator is responsible for operating both mechanical and hydraulic stamping press equipment (ranging from 95 Ton to 1000 Ton) as well as operating 5-axis laser cutting equipment (both oxygen and fiber optic) to produce high quality parts and meet demand.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Load and unload metal material into press or laser bed
    • Position, align, and secure material against fixtures or stops
    • Evaluate part quality using check aids and/or visual inspection
    • Ensure proper tagging of finished parts for correct routing and counts
    • Keep accurate part and scrap counts, record on data collection system at end of job or shift
    • Follow safety rules and ISO requirements
    • Maintain a clean work area.

    Qualifications

    • We supply highly cosmetic parts to large OEMs so our operators must be able to evaluate part quality using check-aids and/or visual inspection while working to meet efficiency expectations.
    • This job requires lifting, bending and reaching and the ability to continually lift parts that range in weight from 5 lbs to more than 35 lbs
    • Must maintain focus and strong attention to detail
    • Must maintain a good attendance record, practice safe work habits and follow safety rules and ISO requirements.
    • Reliable transportation is required.

    Physical Demands

    • Ability to lift up to 35 LBS, lift twist, grab, stand (up to 8 to 10 hours), walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
