We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic for our client in the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires flexibility in working hours, including potential overtime and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Read and interpret schematic drawings, PLC control programs, hardware relay logic diagrams, and pneumatic loops.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Utilize machine shop tools effectively for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Perform basic electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, welding, and fabrication work.
- Maintain and repair bakery equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years in the maintenance mechanic industry.
- Availability: Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machine shop tools and food safety regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Self-motivated, quick learner with a positive attitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to interpret motor control circuit diagrams, PLC control programs, hardware relay logic diagrams, and pneumatic loops.
- Multidisciplinary Skills:*Knowledge of basic electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, welding, and fabrication. Familiarity with bakery equipment is a plus.
- Experience: 5+ years as a maintenance mechanic or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Maintenance Programs: Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Special Skills: Proficiency in electrical work and welding.
- Location: Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to City of Industry, CA before starting work.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as required.
