Job Details

Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and basic PLC/VFD issues
  • Maintain and repair conveyors and packaging equipment
  • Utilize CMMS to create notifications and complete work orders
  • Assist with equipment setup, startup, shutdown, and changeovers
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, allergen, and food safety standards
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment (5S practices)
  • Monitor equipment performance and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Respond quickly to maintenance calls and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Assist with documentation of procedures and operating parameters
  • Support facility maintenance including building systems and grounds
  • Participate in shift handoff communication with incoming/outgoing techs

Qualifications – Needed
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in general industrial maintenance (mechanical, electrical, plumbing)
  • Entry-level to intermediate troubleshooting of processing/packaging equipment
  • Familiarity with PLC, VFD, and HMI systems (basic level)
  • Experience using CMMS systems and work orders
  • Understanding of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs
  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing and 5S principles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and across shifts
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 2pm–10:30pm)
  • Formal technical training and food industry experience preferred
