In this role, you will be a member of the maintenance team supporting Hypertherm's Central Machining operations through maintaining specific production equipment to ensure operations can meet production demands.

Safety:
Provide guidelines for maximizing safety in nonstandard working conditions.
Required to manage, handle, transport, and ship hazardous waste.
Operation, Preventative, Corrective, and Predictive Maintenance:
Coordinate with production to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections of assigned equipment (CNC machines, automation, parts washers, lasers, and other equipment needed to support production)
Maintain assigned production equipment as required, following instructions outlined in the maintenance database.
Conduct repairs of production equipment
Documentation and communication:
Provide input and support for process development and procedures. Reads, comprehends, and transmits complicated, detailed instructions in writing and verbally.
Evaluate current practices for safety and efficacy.
Troubleshooting:
Provide troubleshooting support for operations equipment troubleshooting down to a system component level
Repair wear items and make recommendations for a longer life solution.
Identifies and sources parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary. Performs evaluations of alternatives to improve cost and/or reliability of equipment.
Equipment and Machine Installations:
Work with outside contractors to ensure a successful install by preparing the area, communicating with key stakeholders, and ensuring all work is done to comply with all OSHA laws and Hypertherm rules and regulations.
Mentoring and Training:
Mentor, coach, and train other technicians in preventive maintenance practices, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent with 5+ years’ experience working in an industrial environment on electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems
Ability to receive the following certifications: Crane and Hoist, Lockout Tag-out, Power Industrial vehicle, Forklift, Man Lift
Ability to receive Hazardous materials US DOT training (Hazardous Waste Training (RCRA) and US DOT Hazardous Materials Training is a condition of employment)
Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and maintenance database)
Ability to work with others in a team environment with good written and oral communication skills
Ability to operate assigned equipment independently
Preferred:
Experience in industrial electronics, electrical, and mechanical maintenance field
Basic understanding of CNC controls and operation
Basic knowledge of PLC controls and automation interfaces
Knowledge and experience of OSHA laws and regulations
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 45 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders.
Work with and around high voltages, high temperatures, oils, chemicals, dusts, and moving machinery.
