Job Summary
Our client in DeSoto, TX is seeking an experienced Material Handler / Stand-Up Forklift Operator to support warehouse shipping, receiving, inventory, and material movement operations. This position is responsible for safely loading, unloading, and transporting incoming and outgoing freight using stand-up forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. The Material Handler will also maintain accurate inventory records, inspect products for damage or defects, and help maintain an efficient warehouse workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Load and unload delivery vehicles using forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
Transport palletized and crated materials between designated warehouse and storage locations.
Follow production schedules and work priorities to maintain efficient material flow.
Coordinate daily activities with supervisors and warehouse team members.
Stack products and empty crates safely in assigned warehouse locations.
Record products received and stored using handheld scanners and manual checklists.
Verify quantities received or shipped against shipping documentation and report discrepancies.
Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage, defects, or quality concerns.
Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance, including battery charging and lubrication.
Follow warehouse procedures and established safety requirements.

Required Skills
Stand-Up Forklift Operation — Ability to safely operate a stand-up forklift for loading, unloading, transporting, and storing materials.
Material Handling & Warehouse Safety — Ability to safely move palletized or crated freight using forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
Inventory Accuracy & Attention to Detail — Ability to use handheld scanners, verify quantities, maintain records, and identify shipping or product discrepancies.
