The Packaging Specialist is responsible for general organization of product and materials to keep the shift running and on track to meet production goals. This position will ensure that the bagger operators receive bags as needed, check on status of product in the smokehouse and will be trained in all roles so that they can fill in for individuals throughout the department who may need unscheduled breaks. Prior to the shift the individual will ensure that necessary supplies and PPE are sufficiently stocked and they will ensure lines are ready for the next run following breaks.

Assists department flow by retrieving trees, delivering bag reels to baggers and communicating with Smokehouse for needed product
Will be trained on all positions in RTE and will fill in as needed
Ability to communicate in English for both verbal and written communication
Basic computer skills to be able to navigate and enter data into various computer systems
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsible for following GMP's, SOP's, HACCP procedures, Quality Plan work instructions, plant rules and policies.
Must be able to work in room temperatures that run below 40 degrees.
Must be willing and able to perform other job functions as needed.
