This is a 1-month contract opportunity supporting production operations for a leading organization. Position Overview:
The Packer Operator will be responsible for operating production equipment, packaging finished products, maintaining quality standards, and supporting daily manufacturing operations. This role involves working with machinery, following standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring products are prepared accurately and safely for customers.
This position supports the production of high-quality products within a manufacturing environment and requires individuals who are safety-focused, dependable, mechanically inclined, and able to work collaboratively with production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate packaging equipment and production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Perform front-line production activities including packaging, handling materials, and preparing finished products.
- Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area according to GMP guidelines.
- Monitor production processes and ensure products meet quality requirements.
- Complete required production documentation, including written and electronic records.
- Follow instructions from Leads and Supervisors to complete daily production goals.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting production demands.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production operations.
- Support other operators and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English instructions.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new processes and operate production equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations using a calculator.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to work while standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
- Ability to work while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of manufacturing, production, packaging, or warehouse experience.
- Experience operating machinery or production equipment.
- Forklift or powered industrial truck experience.
- Experience working in a GMP, food manufacturing, or industrial environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50–60 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work in varying temperature environments, including hot, cold, dusty, or industrial areas.
- Ability to work around production equipment and follow all safety requirements.
