Candidates must be flexible to work either of the following schedules based on production needs:

• 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Employees scheduled to work weekends may receive other days off during the week based on the production schedule.

Schedule Example: Tuesday through Saturday, with Sunday and Monday off.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-focused 2nd Shift Pipe Machine Operator to join a concrete manufacturing operation.

This is a hands-on production position responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery used in the manufacturing of concrete pipe and related products. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working around heavy industrial equipment, and able to maintain consistent production while meeting strict safety and quality standards.

This position requires attention to detail, reliability, schedule flexibility, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate concrete pipe manufacturing machinery according to production specifications
• Prepare equipment and work areas before production begins
• Monitor machinery throughout the production process to ensure proper operation
• Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product dimensions, consistency, and quality
• Monitor the flow and placement of concrete during the pipe manufacturing process
• Inspect finished and in-process concrete products for cracks, defects, dimensional issues, or other quality concerns
• Ensure products meet established production and quality specifications
• Identify machine malfunctions and perform basic troubleshooting
• Complete routine daily machine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and inspections
• Report mechanical problems or equipment requiring additional repair to maintenance or supervision
• Assist with machine changeovers, tooling adjustments, molds, and production setup as required
• Maintain accurate production counts and report downtime or quality issues
• Remove excess concrete and material buildup from equipment and production areas
• Keep the machine, surrounding work area, tools, and equipment clean and organized
• Safely operate production tools and equipment required for assigned tasks
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and other machine-safety requirements
• Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and supervisory personnel to keep production running efficiently
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and safety expectations
• Follow all company policies, OSHA requirements, PPE requirements, and established plant safety procedures
• Perform additional manufacturing and production duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience operating industrial, manufacturing, production, or heavy machinery strongly preferred
• Experience in concrete manufacturing, precast concrete, pipe production, construction materials, or a similar industrial environment is a strong plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand how production machinery operates
• Ability to perform basic machine troubleshooting and recognize mechanical problems
• Ability to follow measurements, production specifications, and written work instructions
• Strong attention to product quality and detail
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a production team
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment
• Must be flexible to work 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
• Must be available to work weekends as scheduled
• Must be willing to work overtime when production needs require it

Physical Requirements

This is an active industrial position. Candidates must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements
• Work around concrete, dust, machinery, noise, and heavy industrial equipment
• Safely lift, carry, and move materials as required by the position
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times
• Work in indoor and outdoor production conditions depending on operational needs

Work Environment

This position is located in an industrial concrete manufacturing facility and involves working around operating machinery, concrete products, moving equipment, noise, dust, and changing temperatures.

Safety awareness is essential. Employees are expected to remain alert, follow established procedures, and immediately report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns.
