2Nd Shift Preventative Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

As a Prnsuring the continued functionality and longevity of the Material Handling Equipment (MHE). You will be responsible for ensuring all repairs are documented and aligned with OSHA - state and federal policies as well as company policies, to drive a safe workeventive a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment and culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducting routine inspections of equipment to identify potential issues or signs of wear and tear; evaluating the condition of the components to determine the need for maintenance or repairPerforming scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, including but not limited to lubrications, cleaning, adjustments, and component replacements to prevent breakdowns and prolong equipment lifespanReplacing the batteries in MHE equipment using electric power tools and hand toolsUse material handling equipment (center riders, long-forks, forklifts, etc.) safely, moving MHE to and from the maintenance shop for repairs, with proper certifications from company procedures and safety standardsPerforming safety inspections in accordance with OSHA and company policies on all equipment before being released back to the floor for useMaintaining quality standards of the product throughout the shift, working in a damage-free mannerPerforming a variety of mechanical repairs on electric forklifts and electric pallet jacksCompleting all necessary paperwork, equipment inspection forms, and other documents accurately and in a timely mannerPerforming basic soldering and welding skillsUsing air-powered equipment when necessaryAssist in cleaning and maintaining a safe working environment in the warehouseFlexibility to work various or additional shifts, as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPerform other duties as assigned by leadership

Environment:

Warehouse Grocery - approx. 50F - 90FWarehouse Perishable - approx. 26F - 60F

Warehouse Freezer - approx. 0F - -20F

Schedule:

Sunday-Thursday 2 PM- 10:30 PM

Rate:

$21-$22/hour

Experience:

Preferred: One (1) year of technical experience - Automotive or Industrial EquipmentPreferred: MHE experience (Electric pallet jacks such as center riders or long forks; forklifts)Own and maintain up-to-date tools of the trade

Skills:

Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting, and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature-controlled environments; the ability to operate required material handling equipment - getting on and off equipment throughout shiftStrong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders dailyOrganizational Skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesWorking in a team-based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest qualityQuality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectivesSafety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; drive for accountability of safe practices throughout the shift
