Description


As an Assembler at Caterpillar, you will follow documented procedures to safely assemble and adjust parts and components while ensuring defect-free production. In this role, you will apply lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvement and eliminate waste, and you will use industrial power tools as well as lifting devices to assemble products and move heavy components.


Physical Requirements


+ Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods

+ Willing and able to perform repetitive operations

+ Willing and able to lift up to 35 lbs

+ Must be able to climb in and out of Backhoes, Telehandlers, Compact and Small Wheel loader up to 40 times a shift.

+ Must be capable of using provided ladders and platforms to complete work.

+ Must be able to walk 400 yards at a time over a gravel and paved surfaces to retrieve and deliver machines to the parking area.

+ Must be able drive all machine types processed through the PDC


Basic Qualifications


+ At least 9 months of machine assembly or logistics experience

+ Requires basic proficiency using a PC and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)

+ Some proficiency with MES systems (Pinpoint/SAP/Device Wise)

+ Manufacturing experience

+ Heavy equipment or machine assembly experience

+ Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and work instructions

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

+ Proven initiative with the ability to work independently when required

+ Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks as business needs change

+ Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn all PDC tasks and selected logistics functions


Additional Information


Shift: 2nd Shift Full-Time


Compensation: $19.44/hour (includes 8% shift premium)


Hours: 5:00 pm – 3:30 am Monday through Thursday, Overtime as business needs require on Friday

Summary Pay Range:
