    Description


    Set up and/or operate the gluers and edgers in order to produce product that meets quality and production specifications. Perform material handling functions as needed.

    Key Responsibilities


     
    • Operate gluers at or above production standard.
    • Operate edgers at or above production standard.
    • Set-up the glue line per production schedule.
    • Set-up edgers per production schedule.
    • Operate forklift in a safe and proficient manner.
    • Transport all finished goods from the glue line to the appropriate staging location.
    • Transport all work-in-process from the edgers to the appropriate location.
    • Band pallets and lids.
    • Load/unload trucks to include putting product in the correct location.
    • Able to create bill of lading in Tiger for warehouse transfers.
    • Verifies product/received quantities vs. product/purchased quantities.
    • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned area to GMP standards by removing cartons and other trash, removing dust and debris, etc.
    • Fill vacancies due to absences or vacations.
    • Any other duties as requested or required.

    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


    • Must be proficient in all functions related to the gluers and edgers. Must be able to safely and efficiently operate a forklift. 
    • Ability to lift 35 lbs
    • Ability to stand ten hours (twelve during busy season)
    • High school diploma or GED required
    • 3-5 years manufacturing experience
    • Ability to safely and efficiently operate forklift
