The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all production activities meet safety, quality, regulatory, and productivity standards while supporting plant trials and continuous improvement initiatives. This hands-on leadership role operates in a fast-paced environment and requires flexibility to support weekend or holiday operations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead 2nd shift liquid production operations, supervising 12–25 employees and executing daily production plans
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Troubleshoot equipment, materials, and staffing issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve performance, and support operational goals
- Coach, train, and develop team members, supporting onboarding and performance management
- Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D to support operations and plant trials
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility
- Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations
- Experience in liquid or thermal food processing preferred
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and hands-on leadership skills
- Flexibility to support weekend or holiday operations as needed
