Title: 2nd Shift Production Supervisor (Powder Coating)
Location: Libertyville, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: 3 day weekend, Monday–Thursday 3pm-1:30am
Compensation: $75k-90k per year

This role oversees a powder coating department on 2nd shift, leading a small team of employees. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and team members are properly trained. This position requires strong hands-on powder coating experience as well as proven supervisory skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Duties:
- Supervise, direct, and support employees on 2nd shift.
- Train new employees on powder coating processes and departmental responsibilities.
- Start or verify proper startup of the line daily.
- Manage daily workflow to meet production demands.
- Oversee loading and unloading of parts on/off the powder coating line.
- Confirm quality of masking, plugging of holes, and thread protection prior to coating.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific paint class and quality requirements.
- Prep parts per production schedule, coordinating with hangers to avoid missed work orders.
- Monitor packaging of parts and orders prior to shipment or transfer to inventory.
Qualifications:
- Powder coating application experience required (2–3 years preferred).
- Previous supervisory experience required (2–3 years minimum, with responsibility for at least 3-10 people).
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) with ability to give detailed instructions.
- Ability to stand for full shifts, lift up to 35 lbs., and perform repetitive reaching, turning, and twisting
