2ND SHIFT Quality Control Inspector

The QC Inspection position primarily involves sampling, measuring, verifying, and documenting that manufactured products meet pre-determined quality standards. Quality Control Inspectors ensure that manufactured products meet company and customer quality specifications. Their role also extends to the inspection and testing materials delivered by outside suppliers.

These responsibilities involve working very closely with production personnel while carrying out scheduled and random checks on product quality not only during the production process, but also final testing prior to products being shipped to the customer.

This position can also be involved in conducting investigations into problems that require improvement, as specified by the customer. It is important to note that any employee in Quality Control should identify where in the production process problems or faults may have arisen when witnessed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review current work practices to identify areas in which quality or productivity could be improved
• Coordinate systems to monitor customer satisfaction levels
• Work with management to resolve quality issues
• Monitor the manufacturing process and resulting product at different stages within the process
• Write reports, logging test results, and any quality problems
• Identify inconsistencies and assist in the discovery of their root causes

Requirements

• Ability to perform other duties, as required
• Understanding of ISO requirements
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds
• Use of basic measuring tools
• Good communication skills
