2nd Shift Receptionist – Healthcare | Epic Experience Required

Location: Cambridge, MA
Job Type: 13-Week Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (32 Hours/Week, 30-Minute Lunch)
Start Date:07/27 Orientation – Immediate Availability Required

Sigma Inc. is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Receptionist to support a leading healthcare facility in Cambridge, MA. We are looking for a dependable administrative professional with strong front desk experience, excellent customer service skills, and hands-on experience using the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage front desk operations and maintain a positive first impression.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
  • Check patients in and out using the Epic EMR system.
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Schedule appointments and assist with patient registration.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and administrative documentation.
  • Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and internal departments.
  • Handle confidential patient information while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Provide general administrative support to the clinical team.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of administrative and front desk experience.
  • Epic EMR experience is required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask in a busy healthcare environment.
  • Professional demeanor and strong organizational skills.
  • Reliable attendance and strong employment history with excellent references.
  • Must be available to begin orientation on July 27.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a hospital, outpatient clinic, physician office, or healthcare setting.
  • Experience with patient registration and appointment scheduling.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical office procedures.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday
  • 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • 32 hours per week
  • 30-minute unpaid lunch
