Core Duties

• Lead and mentor fabrication team members, ensuring adherence to company procedures and safety regulations.
• Instill a proactive safety mindset and ensure all safety protocols are meticulously followed.
• Maintain rigorous quality controls, helping pinpoint and address any root causes for issues encountered.
• Organize and optimize daily scheduling, resource management, and staffing to consistently achieve deadlines and quality benchmarks.
• Encourage innovation with new product launches, process advancements, and continuous improvement strategies.
• Oversee employee development efforts, encompassing scheduling, training paths, and multi-skill development.
• Anticipate needs for staffing, equipment, and operational capacity, aiding in recruiting and strategic workforce planning.
• Champion lean production techniques, fostering workflow efficiencies and optimizing the work environment through 5S methodology.

Expertise Needed

• Proven leadership experience from a manufacturing or fabrication background.
• Solid grasp of sheet metal processes and on-the-floor operations.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP software (e.g., SAP or similar) is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in lean manufacturing and ongoing improvement methods.
• Outstanding communication, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Adept at team leadership, setting priorities, and ensuring goals are met in a dynamic production setting.
