Position: Mechanical Assembly Supervisor
Schedule: 2nd Shift initially (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
Future Schedule: Expected transition to 1st Shift, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, after approximately 4–5 months
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Location: Fridley, MN
Pay: $28 + DOE
What You'll Do
- Supervise and lead employees within the assembly department
- Set clear expectations around safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and performance
- Hold team members accountable while maintaining a respectful, team-oriented environment
- Monitor production schedules and help ensure customer orders are completed on time
- Train, coach, and develop employees
- Identify production issues and work with the team to resolve them
- Communicate effectively with employees and management
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Lead by example and work alongside the team
What We're Looking For
- Previous manufacturing or production supervisory/leadership experience
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to hold employees accountable while building positive working relationships
- A hands-on, humble leadership style
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Experience in assembly, aluminum manufacturing, or a similar production environment is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, and work throughout a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and materials
- Ability to perform hands-on tasks as needed to support the production team
