Summary/Objective
The Taper is required to use tape to ensure veneers are secured together and will not split apart during production.

Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Inspects the veneer sheets for specification conformance. Must be able to meet and maintain acceptable production levels. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Completes the necessary production forms. Understands lockout-tagout safety procedure. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must be able to stand for long periods of time. The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects and tools. The employee is occasionally required to bend, stretch, or reach. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, :3:30 p.m to 12:00 a.m., 40 hours per week. Overtime hours will be offered based on company's need.

Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED. 1 year of factory-related experience.
