McElroy is currently seeking a Teflon Coater. A successful McElroy coater prepares parts for coating by cleaning, masking, and surface‑prepping components, then applies specialized Teflon and fluoropolymer coatings according to required specifications. They must be able to process parts using multi‑step coating procedures, operate curing ovens, monitor bake‑out cycles, and inspect finished parts to ensure all quality standards are met.
The successful Teflon coater will have experience with spray‑applied industrial coatings, including fluoropolymer or PTFE‑based materials, and a working knowledge of surface preparation methods such as grit blasting. Our coaters must also be able to interpret all prints, sketches, and verbal descriptions to ensure coatings are applied to specification.
Schedule: 2nd Shift Monday - Thursday 4:30pm - 3am. 2nd shift also receives 11.5% shift premium on all hours worked.

Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
