What you will do.
ATS technicians are trained to provide quality maintenance on our growing fleet of over-the-road trucks and trailers. You''ll perform a variety of work including, inspecting, diagnosing, replacing and repairing brake systems ABS, electrical components, steering systems, multi-axle alignments, hydraulic systems, welding/fabrication of steel and aluminum and related equipment. You''ll work independently while being part of a great team!
What does it take to be an ATS Technician?
Working knowledge of the methods, equipment and techniques used in vehicle maintenance and repair Excellent communication skills Strong attention to detail Basic computer skills Able to stand and be physically active for the majority of the work day Desire to learn and grow as a technician High level of reliability Positive attitude Basic set of tools and toolbox
Summary
The Trailer Technician Level 3 is responsible for the inspection, service, repair and preventative maintenance of the various types of ATS owned trailers by using ATS and industry standard methods and criteria to ensure the trailer is safe to be on the road. Functions of this position include: inspecting, diagnosing, replacing and repairing brake systems ABS, electrical components, steering systems, multi-axle alignments, hydraulic systems, welding / fabrication of steel and aluminum and related equipment
Education and Experience
Level 2 have in addition to above
1. Two year AAS Degree in medium/heavy truck diesel program and/or a minimum 3+ years of equivalent experience in related field e.g., automotive, medium/heavy equipment, trailer repair, etc. and experience in cutting and welding is preferred. 2.Two years plus in welding Mig/Aluminum
Level 1 in addition to above
1.Two year AAS Degree in medium/heavy truck diesel program and/or a minimum 5+ years of equivalent experience in related field e.g., automotive, medium/heavy equipment, trailer repair, etc. and experience in cutting and welding is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:
The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $20.50 - $37.00 plus $4/hr. 2nd shift differential. This position may be eligible for a $2000.00 sign-on bonus, subject to eligibility requirements. Hourly pay rate offered is determined by relevant experience, education, certifications, and geographic location as compared to others doing substantially similar work. In addition to the hourly rate of pay, employees may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which can vary depending on individual and/or company performance.
