This welder position involves welding and sanding sheet metal parts to engineering specifications based on blueprints.
Hours are Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm-2am.
Responsibilities include maintaining a safe work environment, reading blueprints, selecting parts from laser cutting and press brake operations, welding to precise tolerances, modifying parts if needed, finishing parts through sanding and grinding, designing fixtures, setting up MIG welders, operating overhead cranes and hand tools, preparing parts for painting, and inspecting finished work.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, with vocational training preferred.
Skills needed are MIG welding experience, blueprint reading, familiarity with metric system, and knowledge of welding techniques and shrinkage factors.
Successful completion of an entry-level test is required.
