30 Day Paraeducator Student Support - Country Oaks Elementary JobID: 18273 Position Type: Non-Certified Student Support Services/ParaprofessionalDate Posted: 9/11/2026Location: Country Oaks ElementaryDistrict: Huron Valley Schools Additional Information: Show/HidePOSITION DESCRIPTION Complement, supplement and reinforce students' instruction under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher in regular education classrooms.Position Type: General Education Para support Location: Country Oaks Elementary Salary: HVPEA ContractReports To: PrincipalStatus: School Year 2026 - 2027Start Date: As Soon As PossibleHours: 32.5 Hours/WeekDate Posted: 9/11/2026Closing Date: Internal: 9/17/2026 External: until filled QUALIFICATIONSGood communication skills, both oral and writtenPrevious experience working with elementary age children and/or students who are academically at riskAbility to establish and maintain effective relationships with various staff members, principals, student, teachers and office personnelAbility to work well under direction of program coordinator and classroom teacherShow evidence of initiative and enthusiasmAbility to keep accurate records on activities with students as required by program guidelines.May be required to take a skills test ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSComplement, supplement and reinforce students' instruction under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher in both special education and regular education classrooms.Work under the direction of the classroom teachers with identified children as required by the program curriculum.Participate in regularly scheduled in-service sessions, both at the local and county level.Attend staff meetings when requested.On an as needed basis paraeducator employees may be required to attend to a student whose needs include routine medical procedures or assistance with regular hygiene.Keep accurate records on activities with students as required by the program guidelines.Perform any other duties as required by the Principal or classroom teacher. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma and/or related experience.LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS: Ability to speak and write effectively. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
