Idaho State Police is recruiting to fill a Technical Records Specialist 2 position in our Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST). Job Summary: This position plays a vital role in supporting statewide public safety training by coordinating the use of campus facilities and resources for law enforcement agencies and other partners. The incumbent plans and manages facility scheduling for classrooms, meeting spaces, dormitory housing, driving tracks, and specialized training venues to ensure efficient operations and an exceptional customer experience. This position collaborates with internal staff, law enforcement agencies, and service vendors to coordinate facility services, resolve operational challenges, administer program guidelines, and manage billing for facility use. PLEASE NOTE: The successful applicant will be required to complete a background investigation which includes drug screening. Please review the Professional Qualifications | Idaho State Police. Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinates with customers to schedule classes meetings, events, and facility use, while identifying space, equipment and audio/visual needs. Confers with internal and external stakeholders to resolve scheduling conflicts, address operational issues, and independently develop solutions. Exercises independent judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and departmental guidelines to support facility operations and customer needs. Maintains frequent contact with internal and external customers, requiring strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Performs work with considerable independence and is responsible for making decisions within established authority that support departmental goals and operational objectives.
