360 Material Handler

The Best Connection are currently looking for an experienced plant operator to safely operate a 360 material handler in a busy recycling yard. You will move, sort, and load ferrous and non-ferrous metals while helping to keep the site safe, organised, and productive.

Duties to include but not limted to:

• Operate a 360 material handler safely and efficiently.
• Move, sort, and load scrap metal materials.
• Load lorries and containers.
• Organise stockpiles and keep materials separated correctly.
• Feed processing equipment when required.
• Carry out daily machine checks and report any faults.
• Keep your machine clean and well maintained.
• Help maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow all site safety rules and procedures.
• Wear the required PPE at all times.
• Stay alert to other vehicles, plant, and pedestrians.
• Report hazards, defects, and near misses.

Job Requirements:

• Valid 360 excavator/material handler licence (NPORS, CPCS, or equivalent).
• Experience operating plant machinery in recycling, waste, metals, or heavy industry.
• Good understanding of safe working practices.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team.
• Experience in metal recycling.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.

Hours of work are 0700 to 1630, Monday to Friday.

Pay rate up to £15.50 per hour, dependant on experience.
