    Purpose:

    To

    ensure

    the

    safe

    and

    efficient

    transportation

    of

    students

    and

    employees

    through

    proper

    services

    and

    maintenance

    on

    district

    vehicles.

    Qualifications:

    Education/Certification :

    High

    school

    diploma

    or

    equivalent

    Ability

    to

    obtain

    a

    Texas

    commercial

    driver's

    license

    with

    Passenger

    (P)

    and

    School

    Bus

    (S)

    endorsements

    Texas

    Bus

    Driver

    Safety

    Training

    Certification

    Experience:

    Minimum

    of

    two

    (2)

    years

    of

    automotive

    inventory

    experience

    and/or

    school

    bus

    operations

    Computerized

    inventory

    control

    system

    experience

    Computerized

    fleet

    maintenance

    system

    experience

    Special

    Knowledge/Skills:

    Determines

    items

    to

    keep

    in

    inventory

    and

    maintains

    proper

    inventory

    levels.

    2.

    Monitors

    inventory

    levels

    and

    reorders

    parts

    as

    required.

    3.

    Orders

    non-inventory

    or

    out-of-inventory

    parts

    based

    on

    work

    order

    requirements.

    4.

    Works

    with

    purchasing

    to

    identify

    cost-effective

    suppliers.

    5.

    Maintains

    accurate

    inventory

    records.

    6.

    Maintain

    a

    safe

    and

    clean

    work

    environment.

    7.

    Perform

    all

    other

    duties

    as

    assigned.
