Duties
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports students'' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Establish and maintain effective classroom management practices that promote respectful behavior and maximize instructional time.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to develop instructional strategies and support student success.
- Integrate educational technology and hands-on learning activities to enhance student engagement and achievement.
- Prepare instructional materials, maintain accurate student records, and ensure compliance with school policies and district requirements.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events to support continuous improvement and the school community.
Qualifications
Must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (K-9).
Salary/Benefits
Salary and Benefits: Base pay for 2026 - 2027 is $44,135. TRS is paid by district. Salary schedule can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Insurance: Employee health insurance is provided by the district.
