Job Details

Job Title: 3rd Shift Batch Weigher
Location: Hicksville, NY
Duration: 3-Month Contract
Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:300 PM – 1:00 AM (Some Saturdays required. Hours subject to business needs)

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Steel toe shoes required

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment


Job Overview

The Batch Weigher supports food production operations by accurately pre-weighing ingredients and preparing batches for the processing floor. This role helps ensure efficient production flow, product quality, and compliance with food safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-weigh ingredients according to production schedules and batch formulas

  • Prepare ingredients and supply kettles with the required materials for processing

  • Communicate with production cooks regarding the daily production plan

  • Verify raw materials for quality and sanitary standards

  • Record batch information including lot codes, time, and quality checks

  • Ensure ingredients are properly labeled, sealed, and stored

  • Monitor and check equipment including scales and flexicon systems

  • Clean and sanitize kettles between production cycles

  • Complete production checklists and reports

  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation

  • Follow HACCP principles, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company safety policies

  • Assist with additional production tasks as assigned


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in food manufacturing or food production

  • Experience with batching, weighing ingredients, or mixing

  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, or sanitation procedures

  • Basic math skills and ability to understand weights and measurements

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions


Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to work in hot or cold production environments

  • Ability to work while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Ability to work in environments where dust may be present
