Position Overview
We are currently seeking motivated and dependable Belt Furnace Operators for a busy industrial manufacturing facility in Willoughby, OH. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, operating equipment, and working in a fast-paced production environment.
The Belt Furnace Operator is responsible for loading and unloading materials, monitoring furnace operations, handling production paperwork, and ensuring parts are processed according to work orders and quality standards.
Available Shifts
- 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Shift Differential
Essential Job Duties
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment
- Load and unload parts onto furnace belts according to work orders
- Setup fixtures and trays for production processing
- Monitor furnace temperatures, belt speeds, and gauges
- Move materials throughout the production area
- Complete production logs and required paperwork accurately
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
- Assist with general production and material handling duties as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 months of manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
- Ability to obtain forklift certification after training
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to think quickly and work independently
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are critical
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in an industrial environment for extended periods
- Steel toe boots required
Work Environment
This is a large industrial manufacturing facility with a warm, loud, and fast-paced environment. Candidates must be comfortable working around production equipment and furnaces.
