Basic Job Functions:
- Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment as needed.
- Learn various structural line positions including but not limited to: paint line, plate shag, tack-up, seamer, and iron worker.
- Read and interpret shop drawings.
- Perform tasks as directed by the Line Supervisor and/or the Line Group Leader.
- Understand order processing (shop releases and run orders)
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess understanding of metal building systems fabrication.
- 25T, 7.5T, Flip-Rite, and Hot Roll Crane Certifications.
- Forklift Certification.
