Want a flexible way to earn extra money this summer? We’re hiring Order Packers (Repackers) to help prepare online customer orders for Jeni’s Ice Cream at Americold’s Modesto facility.
This is an 8-week seasonal project with flexible scheduling through MyWorkChoice. Pick up shifts, drop shifts when needed, and manage your schedule right from your phone.
Choose Your Shift Schedule
- Hours: 10 PM – 6 AM
- Days: Monday – Friday (choose your shifts in the app)
- Pay: $22/hour
- Pay Schedule: Paid every Friday (daily pay also available)
- Location: Americold - Modesto, CA
What You’ll Do
You’ll help prepare customer orders for shipment by:
- Packing customer ice cream orders
- Performing simple quality checks before shipment
- Adding dry ice, packaging materials, and promotional items to orders
- Building boxes and preparing shipments for pickup
- Keeping work areas clean and organized
- Supporting daily shipping and production goals with the team
What We’re Looking For:
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and detail-oriented
- Team players who like staying active during the shift
- Ability to stay active throughout the shift and regularly lift/move packages
No experience required. Warehouse, fulfillment, packing, or production experience is a plus.
Work Environment
Some tasks may take place in refrigerated or colder work areas to help keep products shipment-ready. Freezer gear is provided when needed. Americold provides:

Workers are required to provide their own steel toe or composite toe shoes.
