Description LJP Waste Solutions is seeking a reliable and dedicated 3rd Shift Supervisor to oversee evening operations and support efficient waste processing, sorting, and transportation activities. This role is responsible for coordinating workflow, enforcing safety standards, monitoring production operations, and leading a team to meet productivity and operational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, operational awareness, and the ability to support a fast-paced industrial environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and teamwork. Job Responsibilities Shift Supervision & Team Leadership Lead and supervise the 3rd shift team by setting clear expectations and supporting daily operational goals Foster a positive, teamwork-focused work environment through communication, coaching, and problem-solving Address operational or personnel concerns promptly and professionally Support employee development and accountability throughout the shift Safety & Compliance Management Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies Conduct routine safety checks and ensure compliance with operational procedures Lead safety meetings and identify potential workplace hazards Implement corrective actions to reduce risk and improve workplace safety Operations Coordination Oversee waste processing, sorting, and transportation activities to ensure operational efficiency Coordinate with supervisors, operators, drivers, and maintenance personnel to maintain continuity across shifts Optimize workflow, equipment usage, and staffing resources to support production goals Equipment Monitoring & Maintenance Ensure loaders, forklifts, balers, and other equipment are operated safely and correctly Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly Coordinate maintenance support to minimize downtime and operational disruptions Training & Development Provide training and guidance to new and existing team members Reinforce safety standards, best practices, and operational expectations Support workforce development and continuous improvement initiatives Performance Monitoring & Reporting Monitor productivity, operational performance, and incident reporting Provide shift summaries and communicate operational updates to management Identify areas for improvement and recommend operational efficiencies
