3rd Shift Hilo Driver Automotive Manufacturing

Location: Shelby Township, MI - 23 Mile Rd & Mound Rd Area
Shift: 3rd Shift | 11:00 PM 7:00 AM w/overtime as needed
Position: Full-Time

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Hilo Driver to join our 3rd shift team at an automotive manufacturing facility in Shelby Township.

Our facility is a plastic injection molding plant that produces interior plastic components for automotive manufacturers. This position plays an important role in keeping production running by safely and efficiently moving materials, finished parts, and supplies throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts (Hilo).
• Move raw materials, components, WIP, and finished automotive parts throughout the plant.
• Supply production lines with the materials they need to keep production moving.
• Remove finished product from production areas and transport it to designated locations.
• Load and unload trailers as needed.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, labels, and paperwork.
• Stage materials and finished goods for shipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory and material locations.
• Follow all safety procedures and plant policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work closely with production, shipping/receiving, and warehouse personnel.
• Perform other material-handling duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
• Previous Hilo/forklift experience required.
• Shipping and receiving experience preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good attendance and punctuality are required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be comfortable working 3rd shift, 11:00 PM 7:00 AM.
• Ability to safely move materials and perform the physical requirements of the position.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced Hilo driver who understands that keeping production supplied and materials moving is critical to the operation. You should be comfortable operating both stand-up and sit-down forklifts and have experience working around production, shipping, and receiving operations.
