3rd Shift Line Worker/Attendant

Location: Wausau, WI
Shift: Full-time 3rd Shift, Monday through Friday, 11PM to 7AM
Wage: $21.05 per hour
Position Summary

The Line Attendant / Machine Operator supports production operations on the 3rd shift by preparing products and packaging to meet customer and quality specifications while following GMP and safety procedures. This role requires working on the production floor, assisting with line tasks, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain clean, organized work area and personal sanitation.
  • Prepare, weigh, load, and space product for processing.
  • Open, inspect, and rework product as needed.
  • Gather, review, and apply labels, stickers, and packaging materials.
  • Pack and palletize products according to order specifications.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet standards.
  • Communicate with team members regarding order specs and safety concerns.
  • Safely operate production equipment and basic machines as assigned.
  • Follow all GMPs, safety policies, and food quality procedures.
  • Support downtime productivity and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing and production environments.
  • Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practices.
  • Ability to read/prepare production reports and follow work instructions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Physical ability to stand, lift (up to ~50 lbs), and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Experience operating production or packaging machinery.
  • SAP or MES system exposure.
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced cheese manufacturing facility
  • Production and cooler areas with temperatures around 50-60°F
  • Wear required safety gear (hair nets, safety glasses, ear protection)
  • Follow all GMP and food safety standards
