Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Machine Operator, where you will play a vital role in our Twin Screw Compound Operator line or the Extrusion line. You will receive training to become proficient in handling complex machinery, ensuring smooth operations in a unique and fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities


+ Set up and operate the compounder, including screw removal and installation, machine setup, feeder operation and calibration, and cooling tower operation.

+ Manage temperature settings and feeder operations to ensure efficient compounding processes.

+ Operate and set up extrusion machines, monitor adjustments, handle products, and ensure proper packaging.

+ Inspect products for quality assurance and follow standard procedures and methods diligently.

+ Adapt quickly to changes and demonstrate a safety-oriented mindset.


Essential Skills


+ A minimum of 6 months of experience in a mechanical role, such as machine operation, construction, or mechanics.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

+ Basic computer skills and proficiency.

+ Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to learn and manage multiple processes.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ Experience in troubleshooting, compounding, extrusion, blueprint reading, and general labor.

+ Familiarity with chemical mixing, blending, forklift operation, GMP, preventive maintenance, and machine setup.

Work Environment


Work in a clean, spacious, and team-oriented environment where you will be handling fiber, composite, and adhesive materials. Collaborate with three employees per two machines, fostering teamwork and efficiency. Be prepared for a hands-on role where getting dirty is part of the job, but rest assured, uniforms and showers are provided. The position requires working the 3rd shift from 11 pm to 7 am, Sunday through Thursday, with occasional overtime. Initial training will be conducted on the 1st shift, with flexibility to accommodate scheduling needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN.


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
