3rd SHIFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN NEEDED - Hamilton, Michigan
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and process equipment
Interpret manuals, schematics, and mechanical drawings
Respond to downtime calls and complete repairs with minimal disruption
Schedule and perform preventive maintenance; coordinate planned downtime
Support process machine launches, improvements, and development efforts
Work with machine controls and electrical systems to diagnose issues
Source parts/components by comparing pricing, lead times, and operating costs
Coordinate with manufacturers/field reps to procure parts and complete repairs
Reassembling equipment after repairs/maintenance and verify proper operation
Maintain maintenance logs/manuals to document testing and equipment operation
Install/replace machine parts to production specifications
Maintain facility systems (HVAC, dust collection, ventilation, compressed air)
Repair/re-route shop utilities (electric, air, water)
Repair small shop tools (grinders, buffers, saws, etc.)
Build or rebuild machinery as needed
Proficient in reading electrical schematics
Electrical troubleshooting experience (required)
Basic math skills; able to read/write clearly
Good verbal and written communication skills
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Journeyman machine repair trade (preferred)
5 10 years hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
Licensed electrician (or pursuing licensure/certification) a plus
High school diploma or degree a plus
