3rd Shift Manufacturing/Extrusion Inspection Technician

Hours
Monday - Friday
10:00 pm 6:30 am
Pay
$25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Key Responsibilities
Prepare test samples following established procedures using precision cutters, laser cutters, sputter coaters, and other tools
Conduct line in-process inspections and laboratory tests on materials and products
Use inspection instruments including micrometers, drop-gauges, electrical Hipot testers, tensile testers, and other film property testing equipment
Record and analyze inspection and test data with accuracy
Report defects to supervision and compile inspection results for company-wide reporting
Follow all safety protocols during electrical testing, heated oil testing, and material handling
Support extrusion operations approximately 20% of the time in a manufacturing technician capacity
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma, Associates degree, or higher education preferred
3+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing or quality control environment
Experience with materials testing laboratories or quality assurance required
Knowledge of plastics processing equipment such as extrusion, cast/brown film, calendaring, or injection molding
Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude strongly preferred
Ability to perform basic math and measurements accurately
Excellent attention to detail and computer skills, including data entry
Willingness to learn new test methods and equipment
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice to Have Skills
Experience operating tow motors and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks
Background in quality assurance, medical/phlebotomy, or chemical labs
Preferred Education and Experience
Industry experience in plastics manufacturing, chemical, or lab testing environments
Prior experience working in off-shift roles
Other Requirements
Must be on-site at the Valley View location
Ability to inspect and measure plastic film in electrical, heat, oil, and physical ways
Comfortable using a variety of quality inspection tools and software
