Location: Cherryville, NC
Hours: Monday-Thursday 4:15pm-4:00am
Typical responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions.
- Select and install the appropriate dies, punches, and tooling.
- Bend and form sheet metal and plate to specified dimensions and angles.
- Measure finished parts using tape measures, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Make machine adjustments to maintain proper bend angles and dimensions.
- Inspect parts for quality and correct defects or dimensional problems.
- Maintain production rates while meeting quality requirements.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Handle and position metal parts, sometimes using lifting equipment.
- Work with other fabrication personnel to keep production moving.
Qualifications likely valued:
- Previous press brake or metal fabrication experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and measurements.
- Experience with CNC machinery is helpful.
- Basic knowledge of metal types, thicknesses, tooling, and bend allowances.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical manufacturing work.
