Job Title:3rd Shift Production Associate – Industrial (3-Month Contract) – Hicksville, NY

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 1:30 AM. Shift schedules may include weekends. Hours are subject to business needs.

Sigma Systems Inc. is a leading staffing firm currently hiring a 3rd Shift Production Associate – Industrial for a valued client in Hicksville, NY. This is a full-time onsite contract opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and are committed to maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow directions from supervisors to meet daily production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Transfer production carts between filler, chiller, and Work-in-Process (WIP) areas
  • Monitor product flow and report any discrepancies in product information to Supervisors or Leads
  • Organize and align products in the Garvey table area
  • Flip trays in chillers as needed
  • Rework products that do not meet quality specifications
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area by following the 5S program
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment at all times
  • Follow HACCP principles, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety, personal safety procedures, company policies, and regulations
  • Assist in other production areas, including the kitchen, as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend verbal and written instructions
  • Basic math skills required
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, push, pull, lift, climb, and perform other physical activities throughout the shift
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work in noisy environments and across varying temperature conditions, including hot and cold areas
  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Steel-toe shoes are required (Composite safety shoe covers may be available if needed)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are encouraged to apply
