Pay/Schedule
POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision and following established procedures, the Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating activities associated to the timely execution and completion of all manufacturing and distribution processes and assuring delivery requirements are met. The scope of the coordinator's role includes coordinating timely manufacturing process completion, product quality and shipping requirements, while interfacing with a wide range of Great Northern personnel (i.e.: Design, Prepress, Project Managers, Customer Service, Quality, Machine Operators, Shipping personnel, Supervisors and Managers.)
Assists the 3rd Shift Production Supervisor with providing work direction and overseeing employees, machinery or equipment, work methods, raw materials and work environment in the Manufacturing Department. Investigates and takes prompt action when problems related to manufacturing schedule adherence, safety, product quality, equipment failure or material waste and scrap disrupt planned delivery. Keeps the Production Supervisor informed of such incidents and makes recommendations to prevent similar problems from happening in the future.
All job responsibilities are to be performed in strict adherence with the Company's Mission/Values Statement and in accordance with established standards for external customers as well as internal customers.
