Sigma Systems is hiring a 3rd Shift Production Operator for a 3-month contract position in St. Joseph, MO. Job Details

• Position: 3rd Shift Production Operator
• Location: St. Joseph, MO
• Employment Type: 3-Month Contract
• Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Occasional Saturdays: Required as needed
• Pay Rate: $20.52/hour
• Work Environment: Industrial/manufacturing environment
• Steel-toe shoes: Required
• PPE: Safety glasses and hearing protection required
• Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Production Operator Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing machinery and production equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Perform repetitive machine or process operations while maintaining consistent production quality.
• Follow oral and written instructions, established procedures, and production schedules.
• Make routine adjustments to machinery and production processes as needed.
• Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment, which may include:
  • Packers
  • Palletizers
  • Forklifts
  • Mixers
  • Pellet Mills
  • Other production and material-handling equipment
• Record and report production numbers accurately.
• Monitor equipment and processes and report issues or abnormalities to supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and manufacturing procedures.
• Perform physical tasks involving bending, stooping, twisting, standing, and repetitive movements.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a production team.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Previous manufacturing, production, machine operation, warehouse, or industrial experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a dusty or dirty industrial environment.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic math skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand, record, and communicate production information accurately.
• Strong attendance and punctuality.
• Flexible and dependable approach to work.
