3rd Shift Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of a manufacturing department to meet production and quality goals.
• Schedule work, assign tasks, and train new employees.
• Monitor productivity, quality metrics, and departmental performance.
• Troubleshoot equipment and production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct root cause analysis to reduce defects and improve processes.
• Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members and Team Leaders.
• Resolve employee concerns and administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using TPS and PDCA methodologies.
• Oversee new product trials and support department objectives.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of management, including Japanese staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 3 years of Team Leader or comparable manufacturing leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Toyota Production System (TPS), PDCA, and continuous improvement principles.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience training and developing employees.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical & Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery and elevated noise levels.
• Frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.
