Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform thorough visual and physical inspections on production lines, identifying defects or inconsistencies.
- Review and approve product samples prior to mass production to guarantee excellence.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues effectively.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to safety and quality regulations.
- Document and report inspection results, highlighting discrepancies and corrective actions.
- Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing manufacturing quality.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment for optimal accuracy.
- Assist in training new QC personnel and provide ongoing support.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality inspections and contribute to corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in quality control or manufacturing is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector in a manufacturing environment (2 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards, testing methods, and inspection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
- Familiarity with quality management software and data analysis tools.
- Certification from recognized quality assurance or control organizations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate degree or higher in quality control, manufacturing, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work night shifts.
- Ability to lift and carry moderate weights as needed.
- Valid certification as a Quality Inspector is a plus.
