Wieland is hiring a Rolling Mill Operator. The Rolling Mill Operator (Level 1) will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating the RM-1 Rolling Mill with a team member (Operator 2) using established metallurgical guidelines. The operator must assist with maintaining a production schedule for the equipment that includes processing material, material handling, tooling changeovers, and PM's. This role is located in Wheeling, IL, and will be fully on-site.
Hourly Pay Range: $21/hr to $26/hr, plus $2.00/hr 3rd-shift dif.
Work Schedule: 3rd shift - 10 PM to 6 AM
Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

High School diploma or equivalent is required2. Previous experience with heavy metals or similar type of manufacturing required.3. Ability to work with calipers, micrometers, and other types of testing equipment required4. Ability to work under pressure with high stress levels required.5. Maintain production schedule6. Monitor material quality, including flatness, gauge, hardness, grain size, and surface finish7. Must be able to learn and safely operate an overhead crane, forklift, and pallet Jacks. (motorized and manual.)8. Willing to work on short notice, volunteer overtime, and/or required overtime as needed.9. Ensure proper identification of coils and samples
