RPI, LLC is part of Premier Outdoor Living (POL), an entrepreneurial manufacturer focused on innovative products for the outdoor living industry. POL operates three distinct businesses specializing in spa cabinets, HDPE lumber, and outdoor furniture, with manufacturing facilities in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Our Green Bay facility supports the RPI business and is looking for an experienced Team Manager to join our manufacturing leadership team.

The Opportunity

As a Team Manager, you will play a hands-on leadership role in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will lead a team of hourly employees and ensure they have the skills, resources, and tools needed to achieve operational goals in Safety, Quality, Yield, and Productivity.

What You'll Do

Lead People Performance

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of up to 15 hourly employees.

  • Set clear expectations for performance, behaviors, and results, and hold team members accountable.

  • Provide employees with the resources, training, and support needed to succeed.

  • Address performance and team issues promptly and effectively.

  • Promote strong teamwork, positive decision-making, and a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Support hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and employee development activities.

Champion Safety

  • Lead and reinforce a safety-first culture throughout the team.

  • Understand and enforce safety rules, policies, and procedures.

  • Model safe behaviors and establish clear safety expectations.

  • Identify opportunities to improve workplace safety and contribute to the overall safety program.

Drive Quality

  • Help the team understand and consistently meet customer quality expectations.

  • Utilize quality systems, including Statistical Process Control (SPC).

  • Coach employees on quality standards and processes.

  • Lead and support quality improvement initiatives.

Improve Productivity Processes

  • Lead the team in achieving and exceeding productivity goals.

  • Encourage employees to identify opportunities for improving productivity and efficiency.

  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles, including standard work, 5S, daily management, and Kaizen.

  • Lead basic continuous improvement activities such as 5S events, standard work development, and Kaizen events.

  • Support process improvements that enhance yield, productivity, quality, and cost performance.

Support Sustainability Operations

  • Promote recycling and sustainable practices throughout the team.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

  • Ensure the team understands and follows established production processes.

  • Remain flexible and actively support changing operational needs as the company grows.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or comparable environment.

  • High school diploma with relevant equivalent experience and/or a college or technical degree.

  • Strong understanding of workplace safety and health laws, regulations, and policies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technicians and management.

  • Ability to lead, coach, and motivate employees while confidently addressing performance issues.

  • Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-changing manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic keyboarding skills.

  • Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and manufacturing/distribution practices.

  • Ability and willingness to work varying shifts, including occasional weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge or experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Self-Directed Work Teams.

  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Experience with quality systems and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular activity on the manufacturing floor, including:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the factory.

  • Frequent reaching with arms and hands.

  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

  • Visual acuity sufficient to inspect products and machinery.
