Tooling / Die Room Assistant 3rd Shift
Advance Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable Tooling / Die Room Assistant to support production operations at a manufacturing facility. This position plays an important role in keeping tooling, dies, print plates, and production materials organized and ready for use.
Position Details
Position: Tooling / Die Room Assistant Shift: 3rd Shift Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM 6:00 AM Pay: $19.80/hour + $0.75/hour shift differential Total Shift Rate:$20.55/hour Schedule: SundayThursday Pre-Screen: Candidates will complete a phone screen before being considered for assignment.
Job Responsibilities
Assist production operators with tooling and materials as needed.
Pull cutting dies to the press and return them to the appropriate storage racks after use.
Inspect cutting dies for damage after production runs.
Inspect print plates for damage after production runs.
Pull mylars and other materials to the press as needed.
Complete banding and preparation of tooling for factory orders.
Assist with minor print plate repairs.
Read and follow instructions on factory tickets and print cards.
Maintain accurate cutting die and tooling inventory.
Update tooling and cutting die arrival/inventory records.
Assist with maintaining and organizing the Die Room and tooling areas.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the ink cage and related areas.
Place new buckets of ink into the ink cage as needed.
Report equipment, tooling, safety, quality, or production concerns to the appropriate supervisor immediately.
Assist with maintaining production flow and minimizing downtime.
Cross-train in other production-related duties as needed.
Follow all company safety, quality, housekeeping, and production procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
Ability to read and follow written instructions.
Ability to understand factory tickets and print cards.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify damaged tooling or materials.
Good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with production team members.
Ability to stay organized and maintain accurate inventory.
Reliable attendance and willingness to work the assigned overnight schedule.
Manufacturing, warehouse, production, tooling, or die room experience is helpful but not required.
Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical & Work Environment
Position requires standing and walking for extended periods.
Frequent use of hands, reaching, handling, and moving materials.
May occasionally require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work environment contains moving mechanical equipment and vibration.
Noise levels may be loud.
Facility is not temperature controlled and may be hot during the summer and cold during the winter.
Employees are expected to follow all safety and housekeeping requirements.
