Reports To: Kaleb Farnham, 6-12 Principal, Director of Alternative Education

Wages/Benefits: Per Master Agreement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in an education discipline applicable to the position.
• Michigan State Certification as a physical education teacher (MB, MX, MC).
• Secondary teaching experience preferred.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.
• Knowledge of a wide range of physical education content, games, skills, etc.
• Knowledge of best practices for developing and integrating strength and conditioning programming for middle and high school students.
• Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
• Ability to use computer network systems and software applications as needed.
• Ability to organize and coordinate work.
• Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff, administration, and families.
