The Two Rivers Public School District is seeking qualified applicants to serve as a Learning Strategist/Special Education Teacher on a highly collaborative team in our 4K program. Potential candidates should:
- Hold a valid WI DPI License in Cross Categorical Special Education and/or general education content area.

Job Description - Learning Strategist/SPED Teacher
Job Title: Learning Strategist/SPED Teacher
Reports To: Director of Pupil Services and Building Principal
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
- Hold a valid WI DPI License in Cross Categorical Special Education OR desire to pursue licensure.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in Professional Learning Communities or a desire to learn.
- Knowledge and experience in Identity Relevant Teaching and Learning (IRTL) and Universal Design for Learning or a desire to learn.
- Experience in and desire to co-serve in an inclusive learning environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Educate as the learning strategist expert.
- Co-plan to co-serve with specified C3 Team members in support of all learners.
- Support proportional representation of all learners in all classrooms.
- Co-develop student interest and learning profiles (e.g., Infinite Campus, Career Cruising, IEP).
- Create standards-based lessons by applying principles of Identity Relevant Teaching and Learning (IRTL) through multiple means of representation, engagement, and assessment supporting reciprocal learning strategies.
- Develop and provide common assessments using assessment-capable learner strategies.
- Create varied learning groups based on the principles of Identity Relevant Teaching and Learning (IRTL) to interrupt ability groupings.
- Collaboratively determine appropriate planning time with C3 Team members.
- Based on co-planned lessons, co-serve all learners in content area/expertise.
- Set a classroom climate where all students support each other academically, socially, and behaviorally.
- Provide consistent and supportive open reciprocal communication with families.
- Collaboratively determine grades for all students.
- Monitor students' academic and behavioral progress (through data collection and analysis) to guide instructional decisions (both qualitative and quantitative). Monitor and address IEP goals.
- Develop student IEP's.
- Communicate with staff regarding specific student IEP needs.
