Job Description:

The Electrical Assembler II under moderate guidance will perform processes to manufacture a finished product using small hand tools and soldering skills per manufacturing instructions in the cell in accordance with company policy and safety procedures. May assist in training Assembler I associates.

Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and procedures
• Conducts inspections of own and/or other associates work to insure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawing
• Prepares lead wires
• Performs advanced test functions
• Shapes, connects, and installs coils, solder, braze, and fuse connections
• Performs advanced installation
• Performs marking and cleaning processes
• May solder and assemble electro-mechanical or mechanical assemblies/subassemblies using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing instructions to conform to quality specifications
• May solder connections and electronic components to circuit board
• May use coating equipment
• May read calipers
• May use microscope
• May use small hand and electric tools
• May clean and mark surfaces to indicate measurements
• Ability to be trained to use simple machines such as lathes, drill press, and balance machines
• Actively demonstrates all safety policies and procedures
• Soldering
• Inspection
• Mechanical Assembly
• Bonding or Gluing
• Basic Testing
• Other specialized processes as required by manufacturing outlines
• Moderate paperwork requirements such as M.O. preparation
• Test reports filling out and maintaining one or more required reports
• Performs other assigned duties as required

Requirements:

• Education: A Secondary Certificate, High School Diploma or equivalent certificate (GED) is required
• Years of Experience: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. Variable schedules and additional hours may be required as necessary.
