What Youll Do
- Provide advanced respiratory care for adult patients in a hospital setting
- Manage ventilators, including setup and monitoring
- Perform patient assessments and implement respiratory therapy plans
- Administer aerosolized medications and oxygen therapy
- Support airway management, including suctioning and device placement
- Analyze blood gases, perform EKGs, and assist with pulmonary function testing
- Respond to emergency codes (e.g., Code Blue) effectively
- Participate in quality assurance activities and unit surveys
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care
What You Need
- Valid RRT and RCP license in Louisiana
- BLS certification through AHA
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Strong technical skills in ventilator management, airway support, and pulmonary diagnostics
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent documentation and communication capabilities
