What You’ll Do

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests across various sections such as Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and Blood Banking
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
• Process patient specimens, ensuring proper handling and minimal sample volumes for pediatric cases
• Record, verify, and report test results accurately
• Maintain strict quality control and quality assurance protocols
• Participate in the development and implementation of new testing procedures
• Assist in cross-training within laboratory sections as needed

What You Need
Required:

• Louisiana Licensure
• Certification as MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a biological, chemical, or clinical laboratory science, or equivalent experience
• Good organizational and communication skills

Preferred:

• Up to 1 year of approved clinical laboratory experience, including rotations through multiple lab sections
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced laboratory environment
